Specialist Training Areas

The clinical training, taking place at training centers of the public dental care authorities Folktandvården Skåne, is offered within a wide range of specialist areas.

In Sweden, evidence-based dental care is conducted in accordance with current research. The many Innovations and scientific discoveries being made within dental care has contributed to Sweden being well represented in an international context for its high quality. 

Within the scope of specialist training at Folktandvården Skåne, specialist trainees get exposure to a broad and varying patient group. You will have the opportunity to treat patients under supervision of experienced practitioners in the field of the specialist area. The goal is to enhance the trainee’s ability to plan and execute treatment independently. 

All specialist trainees at Folktandvården Skåne participate in multidisciplinary collaborations within their own clinic. Central to the specialist dental training is also the cooperation with other specialties and professions or professional groups within the dental care system as well as within the healthcare system.
