The speciality involves evaluation of jaw, bite or dental positions deviations as well as treatment of patients with jaw anomalies in collaboration with other dental and medical specialists. 

 The field of competence includes: 

• advanced knowledge of the development and growth of the face, jaw and bite, 
• diagnosis and treatment of patients with congenital or hereditary jaw, bite or dental positions deviations, 

• evaluations of jaw, bite or dental positions deviations and prioritisation in relation to applicable regulations and compensation systems, 
• advanced knowledge of factors that influence motivation and cooperation.
